Spine Related
If you have symptoms in your back, neck, or head, your spine is most likely misaligned. The reason for it lies in the fact that most of us spend extended amount of time in one place, often sitting, and not moving around enough. Sometimes the cause have to do with repetitive motions without paying attention to our posture.
If you are experiencing excessive headaches, neckache, or backache, we recommend you come in for a chiropractic visit. We should be able to examine you and tell you what treatment we recommend.
Family Chiropractic
Pediatric care at Dr Steffens Chiropractic is one of our specialties. We have children come and go in our office. A child’s nervous system is the controller and regulator of all the other systems in their growing body. From blood flow, to brain function and bone growth, the nervous system plays a central role in keeping things working and healthy. Stress and misalignment of the spine can have serious impacts on your child’s overall health, behavior, and development.
During pregnancy, a woman’s body is undergoing a number of different changes to accommodate the growing baby. As the baby grows, a mother’s center of gravity shifts to the front of her pelvis, resulting in added stress and discomfort in the lower back and the various joints of the pelvis. We recommend regular chiropractic care during pregnancy to help ease the discomfort and help prepare your body to birth.
Treatment for Sports Injuries
Colorado is a state with a lot of athletes, including adults and children. Sports injuries happen frequently during training or competitive events. Chiropractic care is used to treat and help prevent injuries to the back, neck, shoulders, knees, and ankles. It will also help improve range of motion, minimize recovery time, and maximize athletic performance. Chiropractic Care can help with a multitude of sports injuries such as, tendonitis, sprains, strains, back and neck pain just to name a few. The goal is to help reduce inflammation, enhance joint function and reduce pain.
Other Injuries
Quite often, we see people suffering from whiplash after a car accident, or other injuries from a work accident. Whiplash can also occur from other kinds of trauma, accidents, abuse, and falls. Sometimes with injuries, even if you have seen a doctor and have been cleared, there may be symptoms that occur later.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a painful condition that happens when the median nerve in your wrist is compressed by swelling. Carpal tunnel syndrome often happens from repetitive movements. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is usually accompanied by sensations of burning, pain, tingling, or swelling in the palm of the hands.
